Hello All!

A feature-packed upgrade for OpManager MSP Edition is available for download now. Here is a quick summary of what you can expect on upgrade

1. Google Map support is available. The Maps > Google Map View link allows you to generate a Google Key. Submit this key to integrate Google Maps.

2. You can add Trial Probes! This allows you to add Probes with 30 days trial period enabled. It facilitates demonstrating the monitoring solution to your customers.

3. Remote CLI is possible using the Telnet/SSH option in the device snapshot page. A remote session is established with the device with the given login credentials.

4. Customer Reports is included. Select Reports > Generate option to generate reports. This feature allows you to select multiple reports at a time for a customer.

5. Domain Controller Category has been added which enables Active Directory Monitoring.

Is OpsManager MSP integrated with ServiceDesk, not to where I can jump to it but ServiceDesk is MultiCustomer aware. Not just one company, with many departments?

I Absolut Agree, I was looking for a SD Multicustomer version but It seems that will be not possible. A few days ago a received a mail from adventnet regarding OPs MGR with ticketing systems, but I dont see this feature. And Integration between a multicustoimer app and singlecustomer app..mmm I doubt about it.

We are a company that provide service to many external customers, and we have evaluated many HelpDesk software and SD was the best BUT still doesnt fit because does not support multiple customers and OP MGr is great too, but have not a ticketing systems and so on.......I really expect for a new version that can fit this expectations that i think is common to many service providers around the globe.!!!!

Good luck
Folks,
It is done. The new MSP edition coming out next month will feature integrated ticketing module. This is how it works:

- When you add a customer in OpManager, automatically an Account is created in the ticketing module.
- Whenever a "5 poll missed" alarm is generated in OpManager, a ticket is automatically created in the ticketing module. (configurable)
- All other features that you see in SD w.r.t tickets would be available here (maximum)

If you want a beta for testing, please email devanand at adventnet dot com

What other improvements can we expect in the new release!?
I haven't seen an update yet. Any news on when an update will be released and what will be fixed/added in the upcoming update?
Sorry Gaiz, it got delayed. The new release should be coming anytime next week. Are you looking for anything specific in this release?

Following are the top additions in 6003:
- Integrated ticketing
- Integrated patch management
- Integrated vulnerability scanner
- Integrated inventory module

All the above are available as ADD-ONs, you can buy selected items and they are controlled through license. If you want Ticketing and not the security features you can turn them off through license.

Other Fixes and Features:
- Executive muti-series customer reports available in this service pack.
- Google Map API 2.0 supported. You can now type in an address directly for the probe location.
- HP UX support added.
- Option to add files to a device is now available.
- Device type association in bulk using quick configuration wizard, is now available.
- Rebranding issues fixed.
- Interface not getting added when a device is deleted and re-added, is fixed

Will update the webpages soon. That will give more details.

Our biggest issues are the following:

In the Quick Config. Wizard you can only add one Eventlog Rule at a time.

There's no way to add Resource Monitors to object using the Central Site. We are currently implementing OpManager MSP to 40 of our customers and adding resource monitors using the central site would save us very much time.

We can not set the SNMP Community strings centrally using the Quick Config. Wiz.
Hi Gaiz,

I accept your statement, certainly this will reduce lot of time taken during the configuration. we will try to add these feature you have requested for one after the another soon. As the release 6003, is commerically launched today. We will consider new feature deployment soon.

We have taken your request for feature analysis. It is too early for me to commit a time frame for the next release as well as when this feature will be included. But I can assure you that we will consider you request for development based on priority.
