Hi This seems like a good solution.
The workflow is what we need
It would be nice to be able to (when approved)automaticly export the data in a configurable format to the erp system.
Use the workflow that is set up, and add a step that export the billing data in an configurable xml/csv file by using variables. (like the way we create autoresponses etc on mail)
Output cold be sendt to a folder, or as an email attachment.
When the request is billed/sendt to invoice the request is locked for adding more billable hours
A new linked request has to be opened (similar to split as new request) if any more work should be billed

This would be a great help for our group. We have just recently moved to your SupportCenter solution and now have to manually add up billable time entries and manually enter them into another billing system.
Being able to export the timesheet as well as flag the time entries as billable and non-billable is key. A great "nice to have" would be a timer so that the support rep does not have to manually track time spent on each activity. The timer could start when they select "time entry" and auto-populate the time field when the time entry is closed.

Thanks to all the customers for keeping this forums content-rich & informative. We appreciate your contribution towards that.
The purpose of this post today is to draw your inputs for the new "Timesheet" module that we are building. I understand that time sheets are core to most businesses and the ability to manage them better would make things a little easier.
Features that would be available are :
* Billable & Non-billable time entries
* Approval Process for time entries (optional)
* Ability to mark the time entries as "Closed" once billed.
* Report changes based on the same.
Outline of how the module would work :
* From the request view page, Support Reps would be able to add time-entries with an option to mark the entry as billable or non-billable
* All such entries (billable & non-billable) entries would be listed in the timesheet tab (tab on the same level as Requests, Accounts, Contacts etc)
* A support rep with the approval permission would be able to analyze & approve the time-entry
* Reports on approved & billable hours can be drawn and sent to customers.
* Once billed these entries can be closed.
I am also attaching a screen shot that outlines the flow. Please review & provide your feedback. Your inputs would help us refine the module.

How about an option to have the time sheet entries sorted according to various options? I.e by time/date, time entry type, support rep etc.
An option to include or not include the notes made would also be handy. That way some of the non-useful notes could be excluded but the billing amount kept.

Would be nice that additional numeric fields are a ware of decimals.

I would like to add the next fields:
Location of work: "Remotely" or "On Location"
With the possibility to automatically change the cost per hour and adding a starting cost depending on the location of work.
Time span: depending on part of the day the executed time is filled in, the cost per hour. The cost per hour differs on office hours, evening/night, saturday and sunday.
Remark Additional Cost: so you can add a remark with the addtional cost
Selection field Billable:Is the time needed only for registration (within the contract) or needed for the bill. Instead it is also possible to create an extra field with "Time Taken To Resolve not billable" so you can create a summary in the reports with separated columns..
In reports perhaps nice to have: on field which creates different columns in the report like "Time spent" creates the columns "Location or Start cost", "Time 1", "Time 2", Time 3", "Time 4", "Total Time Cost".
Of course an export with the all the columns would be nice so we can import it to our billing system.
So with the contract items we need the next tables:

I used the wrong word. Time Sheet should be Add Time Entry window . It's a sample suggestion for the fields in the Add Time Entry.
