Deprecating Older API Versions
Hi All, All APIs provided by Desktop Central will be migrated from versions 1.0 and 1.1 to 1.2 and 1.3. Versions 1.2 and 1.3 are both supported for all API URIs, but it is recommended to use v1.3. We request all our users to migrate to the newer versions as soon as possible; the older versions will become non-functional with the upcoming build releases. The difference in structure of APIs is as follows: Old: Server_name/api/1.0(or 1.1)/desktop/authentication New: Server_name/api/1.2(or 1.3)/desktop/authentication

Chrome 73 to patch a huge list of critical vulnerabilities
Google Chrome has rolled out Chrome 73 for Windows, Mac and Linux. Around 60 security fixes are included in the Chrome 73.0.3683.75 update. Apple FaceTime's critical eavesdropping bug
A critical bug has been discovered in Apple FaceTime that transmits audio(in certain cases video) to the caller despite the recipient not having accepted the call. This vulnerability was first discovered by a 14-year-old kid who found that he could listen to his friend's conversation, even when the call wasn't answered. Microsoft Patch Tuesday January 2018 updates
This month’s Microsoft Patch Tuesday security updates address 59 vulnerabilities, out of which 16 are critical threats and 20 can be leveraged by attackers for remote code execution. Microsoft has suspended updates for AMD processors after reports of Blue Screen of Death errors. Some antivirus programs also appear to be incompatible with these updates.
