Adding Reminders - Not for Technicians but for users

Hi there,
 
Is it possible to somehow email a user automatically from Service Desk Plus to remind them of something? - for example when it's time to bring a loaned notebook back to the Servicedesk?
 
Adding reminders is a great little feature but being able to email the users directly would be one step better.
