Build number doesn't change after upgrade!

Build number doesn't change after upgrade!

Need help urgently, busy upgrading neflow from version 9.1 to 9.5, its successful but when I startup application I don't see new build number. As a result of this I'm unable to proceed to upgrade from version 9.5 to 9.6 I get this error(The file that you have specified is not compatible with this product)
Please help, how do I resolve this issue, need to upgrade all the way from version 9.1 to latest 10.250, (I know i'm following steps as shown here= https://www.manageengine.com/products/netflow/service-packs.html#7002)
