I know I can bulk 'enroll' devices on the MDM but I would like to know a bit more about the process.

 

To give some background...

 

I have 125 Samsung android devices that I need to enroll which are going into the field as a data collection tool.  They will not be used by staff from my organisation (initially they will be used by nurses in correction institutions), and they can be repurposed to be used for lots of different things (mainly data collection or display).

 

We want to use the MDM as it means we can lock the device down as hard as we need (particularly important for the corrections institutions).

 

The CSV file that was mentioned has the following example

USER_NAME,DOMAIN_NAME,EMAIL,PLATFORM,OWNED_BY,GROUP_NAME,UDID

ANDREW,MDM,andrew@desktopcentral.com,iOS,Personal,IOS_Group

BEN,ZOHOCORP,ben@desktopcentral.com,Android,Corporate,Android_Group

MIKE,ZOHOCORP,mike@desktopcentral.com,Windows,Corporate,Windows_Group

 

I would like to be able to get one person to enroll all devices (and then post them out to the right people).

 

So a few questions...

 

1.      Can I have the email address the same in the CSV file for each device?

2.      How will the person enrolling these devices know which device is which?

3.      Is there a better way?
