Can you manage and unmanage monitors from the linux command line?

Can you manage and unmanage monitors from the linux command line?

I have a script on a set of servers that deploys a tomcat webapp. Is there anyway I can unmanage and then manage the tomcat monitor from the command line so I can do it all from the script?
