I'm using AE to track my servers and use the discovery options extensively. I use both Domain discovery, network discovery, and VMware discovery. Most servers are not scanned by AE, because our infrastructure is not set up to do that easily. This means I have around 800 servers which have been discovered, but not scanned.
We have a lot of changes to our servers, especially in the VMware environment. I would like to get a report of all the servers that can no longer be discovered by the configured discovery methods.
I can't find a field in the database that shows when a server was last seen by the scheduled discovery processes. Is this information stored anywhere so I can report on it?
What do other people do to make sure old decommissioned assets are no longer present in AE?
