Please start the network with the router created and connect to the router from the console by using the command telnet 1.1.1.1 2323.Where 1.1.1.1 is the Virtual IP of the router in the network and 2323 is the port of the router in the network.There are several modes "User Exec Mode","Privileged Exec Mode","Configuration Mode" and "configif mode (interface mode)" in the router devices and several commands in each modes to which you can traverse, see and execute by using the commands.Please use the following link which contains all the details of commands, login and modes of the router devices.

If you want to perform the operation from remote machine, you can add the virtual IP of the router device in remote host by using the command add route virtual ip remote host and proceed the operation.
