Correct installation of OpManager and probes

Correct installation of OpManager and probes

Hi,
I'm having some troubles installing OpManager with 1 probe.
First we have installed OpManager Enterprise 12200 on a Windows 2012 server (language italian), now we need to add a probe server and installed on a linux CentOs server:
1) If the main OpManager was installed as standalone, how can I add a probe?
2) I've installed OpManager Central Enterprise on a CentOs server for testing and checked that the configuration menu is different between the 2 installations; on the first installation (Windows probabily standalone) the configuration menu contains 9 tabs (Basic settings, User Management, Search, Monitoring, Tools, Netflow, NCM, OpUtils and Firewall) and no Probe Details otion, while the second installation (CentOs OpManagerCentral) contains only 3 tabs in the configuration menu (Basic Settings, User Management and Monitoring) and the option Probe Details is present under the monitoring tab.

At this point I think that the correct installation procedure is:
1) install OpManagerCentral and OpManagerProbe on the same server (main host 172.31.122.xxx)
2) install OpManagerProbe on another server (for another network, for example 172.31.102.xxx)

Am I right?

I'd thank you if you could provide more infos on how to configure this scenario

Roger

p.s. what is the OpManager.truststore file???
                New to ADManager Plus?

                  New to ADSelfService Plus?
