Database monitoring question
Hi,
We are a new App Manager client, and I'm looking for a solution to how best setup the following scenario.
We have 2 applications, App1 and App2. Both store their databases on DBServer1.
Currently I have 2 monitor groups, MntrGrp1 and MntrGrp2.
MntrGrp1 is associated with the following monitors
a Windows Server monitor for App1
an SQL Server monitor for DBServer1
MntrGrp2 is associated with the following
a Windows Server monitor for App2
an SQL Server monitor for DBServer1
The problem that I see is that if the database for App2 goes offline, then the alert for MntrGrp1 will also be triggered because DBServer1 is associated across both groups.
Is there a way to configure alarm rules, set thresholds or something so that the alarms will only trigger if a particular database on DBServer1 goes offline?
