Fixing OpManager to ServiceDesk Integration/Connection errors

Not sure if this will work for everyone....

Error: Unable to fetch values from ServiceDesk Plus, The server might not be running or the network traffic may be too high

This I think is a generic error that something is wrong with one or more of the parameters you have specified.

1. Make sure you have completed the standard configuration: http://www.manageengine.com/products/service-desk/opmanager-integration.html and that you get the above error.

2. Check that you can load up the client (web browser) on the server (Windows) that hosts ServiceDesk+ and/or Opmanager (I have both installed on the same server). That is that you can logon to the ServiceDesk and OpManager server from the ServiceDesk server and vice versa. 3. Setup a new techician in ServiceDesk (I setup with Admin privileges), do this even if you have AD enabled. Configure the OpManager ServiceDesk+ connector to use this new account.

4. Other things to test. From the OpManager server try to telnet to the ServiceDesk+ server (Telnet Server ServiceDeskPort)

5. Make sure you are using the latest version of both servers.
