Getting logged-out several times a day

Using Firefox (14.0.1 on OpenSUSE 12.1) I'm getting logged out of pmp after being inactive for a short while. Sometimes a few hours, sometimes after just a few minutes. We have set the timeout for automatically logging users out to 512 minutes (8,5 hours) so I shouldn't be logged out for a full workday.

Even after completely removing and recreating a clean Firefox profile this is still happening. Is there anything we can check on why this is happening?

Thanks for the post and our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Is this timeout issue happening only in the Firefox browser? please try accessing PMP web console with any other browser and let us know how it goes. Also, click on the about link on the right top corner of the page and let us know the PMP version and build number.

Ah, yeah forgot to mention the pmp version.

It's 6.5.0 build 6505.

I had the same problem with previous builds as well.

I'll test with Chrome for now, but I was using Firefox as I had some other issues in pmp from Chrome. Besides this timeout issue everything is working fine in Firerox.

Well I don't seem to have any problem using Chromium 22.0.1190.0 (144885).
On Opera 12.0 and Konqueror I can't even use the search function and in Chrome 21.0.1180.75 the interface is totally f***ed-up.

I had this "logout" problem on several versions of Firefox (it's constantly updated by OpenSUSE). Do you have any idea what I could check to find out why this is happening?

Note that pmp is the only webpage I'm having problems with...

I'm still having this issue.

Just a minute ago I wanted to request a password, and found myself logged-out.
Logged back in and checked the audit log. In the user audit log I see a "User Logged out" message with my name next to it 10 minutes ago with reason "N/A".

Is there anything I can check to see why I got logged-out?

Hi,

Our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Please follow the below mentioned steps to analyse this issue further.

Stop the PMP service.
Remove/ Rename the <PMP-Home>/logs folder.
Start the PMP service.
Login to PMP Web console and try reproducing the Logout issue.

Zip and send us the newly created logs folder to passwordmanagerpro-support@manageengine.com along with your contact details. We will analyse the log files and get back to you.

Hi,

My apologies for not answering for over a month. I went on vacation, and after that the problem suddenly disappeared! Only thing I can think of is that Firefox got updated to 15.0.1 in the meantime...

I guess you could close this thread.

I am now having this issue with Firefox 16.0.1. Every time that I click on any tab I am taken back to the login screen and have to start over.

This is now happening to me since Firefox has been updated to 16.0.1. Every time I click on any tab I get kicked back to the logon screen.

We tried the same in our test evironment with Firefox 16 and it works fine. Please delete all the cache files, delete cookies, history and temp files in the browser and try accessing the web console and let us know how it goes.
