How to perform Reboots after SW Deployment
Hello,
First: I am working with DesktopCentral for over one year by now, so I am not completely new.
Still there are some point that do now work as I expect, so I would like to know, how to achieve the following two cases:
How to tell the client to reboot, when the setup itself does not require this; I want to reboot the client anyway!
1. Prompt user to reboot after SW install
I know I can set this in the "deployment policy": "Prompt for reboot" & let user skip the reboot.
What I am looking for: I want to prompt for a reboot, even if it is not required by the SW install or patch deployment!
I have not been able to achieve this. The reboot prompt ONLY appears, when a reboot is required by the setup routine/patch...
2. Force a reboot after install
This is a similar scenario as in case #1, but I would like to be able to FORCE a reboot (without asking the user and without the option to skip), even when the setup does not requiere this.
