ME Asset Explorer is not upto mark when compared to ME Service Desk Plus

ME Asset Explorer is not upto mark when compared to ME Service Desk Plus

I tried both the softwares, ME service desk and ME Asset Explorer. I see that is a considerable difference in the speed of the two product. It seems like the installation of Asset Explorer is also not clean. By default, windows firewall blocks the application. Need to start it from the command prompt to fix this. To start/shutdown the ME Asset Explorer, it is required to run as administrator.  
ME Service Desk Plus pages loads very fast whereas the ME Asset Explorer pages really keep us waiting. I donot know why there is a considerable difference in speed. I find that the database is postgressql for Asset explorer and it is mysql for Service Desk Plus. Not sure if this is the reason. Wondering if there is a workaround for this issue.
