Microsoft SQL

We are testing netflow with Microsoft SQL 2000 and have found a few major issues:

1. We are unable to port our configuration per the procedures outline by manage engine.
Has anyone had any luck doing this?

2. We also have observed that in build 7600 when you configure it for MSSQL, the netflow service will not start
unless you allow the application to create the database. This makes using a restored database impossible!
Has anyone had any luck restoring MSSQL database from a .bak file and using it with build 7600?

Hi,

We have many customers who have migrated their configuration from MySql to MSSQL successfully. Yes, when you select the MSSQL as option on the ChangeDBserver.bat and specify server name, it automatically picks up the instance, port etc. Then you can do test connection by specifying credentials and save the settings which will create a new fresh database on MSSQL server.

There are certain procedure we need to follow to restore old MSSQL database on the new fresh database. Kindly send us email to netflowanalyzer-support@manageengine.com. We will send you the steps.

Thanks
