Monitoring daemons in a VMware ESX/ESXi ??

Hi,

Is possible to Monitoring daemons in a VMware ESX/ESXi ??  In the "VMware ESX/ESXi" monitor doesn't appears the option to add a process/daemon to the monitorization; and if we intend to monitor trough a linux monitor (ssh) appears a message that the OS is not a Linux, but a "VM OS"
