Hi

I have one unusual problem and unable to find the cause for it.I have two devices suppose A and B and have different MIBs for these devices. Now i control these devices using RMI.I also use the sniffer tool namely WireShark for checking the traps which are sent to the manager by these devices.

Now using RMI, I have configured traps for device A and device B. These are timer-based traps. I have found that for device A, the traps are seen in the trap recorder on a different machine and also on the WireShark. But in case of Device B, I have found that the traps are recorded on a remote machine Trap Recorder but cannot be seen on WireShark. The actual manager which is supposed to receive the traps is also responding to traps of Device A but not of Device B.

Can you please help me with this unusual problem and tell me what can be all the possible reasons for this behavior?

Hi Nilesh,

Before starting the Network mention Settings->Runtime Settings -> Logging Level as DEBUG and Log File Name as debug.txt and send us the debug.txt file which will be created on <SIMULATOR_HOME>/debug.txt to analyze and solve the problem at the earliest. Please mention the manager name which you used for testing purpose. Kindly check the parameters mentioned in the WireShark.

Please get back to us for further clarification.

Thanks
Muthu
