ServiceDesk Plus 8.2 [with Project Management] Released

Dear Users,

We are glad to announce the release of SDP 8.2. It can be downloaded from the URL below,

Existing customers, kindly note, that the upgrade to 8.2 can be done only over builds 8121 and above.

We strongly recommend to try the upgrade in the test environment before applying it to the live setup. Steps for creating the test environment is available at

The behavior changes and some known issues were listed below.


Behavior Changes:
1. Worklog will now have start time & end time. Worklog's execution time will be moved as start time after migration.
2. Dependency will be shown only on adding a task in request module.

Known Issues:
1. 'Actions' menu list in Workstation list view & Server list view is not visible in IE browser. Works fine in Firefox & Chrome.
2
. In IE browser, 'column sorting' and 'filter drop down' will not work in the 'Request', 'Change', 'Problem' list in the CI details page.
3. In Purchase Order, the 'To'



field in the Action->Payment Done & Action->Invoice Received is not auto filled with the owner's email id.


Steps to apply the ppm:

1. Shut down ServiceDesk Plus Server.
2. Run the script UpdateManager.bat (UpdateManager.sh for Linux) in the <ServiceDesk_Plus_Home>/bin folder. This opens the Update Manager tool.
3. Click "Browse" to select the Service Pack file (ManageEngine_ServiceDesk_Plus_<Version No>_0_0_SP-x_0.ppm file that you had downloaded) and then click "Install...".
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to apply the Service Pack / Hotfix.
5. Once the upgrade is complete, start ServiceDesk Plus Server.






Please be informed that we are taking forced backup before the migration as a precautionary measure and the system can be recovered in case of any issue during migration.

In case of any migration failures, you can follow the steps listed in the below link to revert to the earlier version.
