SMS Alert By Modem
We would like to have redundancy when it comes to alerting from Applications Manager in case our e-mail system goes down, we would still like to receive notifications.
In trying to setup SMS via Modem on AppManager, we see that we require a SMS Gateway to connect via serial port to COM3. Our only issue is that AppManager runs on a virtual machine. Is there an alternative to this if we want to use SMS that does not depend on e-mail?
Do any of your other customers have experience with AppManager or OpManager using an appliance such as SingleWire.com for these types of alerting?
