upgrade from 8316 to 9001 to 9004

We completed our upgrade and ran into a few problems.

  • Notifications that aren't enabled in the notification rules started being sent out.  Specifically, notify requester  when a request is assigned to a technician.  We have never had this enabled but after the upgrade it began sending out these notifications for all accounts even though it was not checked.  We fixed this by checking the box and saving it and then unchecking the box.
  • It looks the parameter for requesttemplate had a name change in the API.  We were previously using requesttemplate which started failing after the upgrade.  We changed it to reqtemplate and it seems to be happy again.  Was this intentional?  Typically you only add new features to a API.  This change was also not documented in the release notes.
  • The requestlink parameter in the notification emails started sending out as http://sitename instead of https.  This is still a problem.  The Self-Service portal settings still showed https.  Attempted to fix the problem by changing the port to http and then back to https but now the system won't bind to https.
