Why cant I use batch scripts?

Why cant I use batch scripts?

Hello,

I'm having trouble with custom scripts. I'm trying to use a custom script in the Post-Deployment activities. And I keep getting the same error message: "Invalid command line argument. Consult the Windows Installer SDK for detailed command line help."
At first I started with the correct script I wanted to deploy and got that error message. And then I tried it with the most basic script I could make, which is just a batch Hello World:

@echo "Hello World"

And I still keep getting the same error.

My Manageengine software repository is on a shared network folder, and my test computer can access it fine. And if I run these script manually on the test computer, then they run fine, and do what they are supposed to do.

Even though the script is set to start post the msi install, the msi installer isn't even started installing yet when I get the error. The msi file is not the problem, because if I unset the post-deployment custom script option, it installs with no problems. I have tried it with multiple msi installers. By the way the msi file I'm using is a standard Google Chrome msi installer.

Does anybody have any idea why its not working?

Thanks!
