Ability to close multiple tickets from the Request tab

Ths may sound like a strange request, because the functionality is seemingly there, but it lacks in one signicifant thing.

Our closure rules require a number of fields to be filled in and virtually all of them are provided by default by the service desk team when the request is created. All we need is the resolution to be supplied for the request when it is closed.

If you click on CLOSE from the Request tab it is fine UNLESS the resolution is missing and it then generates the standard, one of the fields is missing error.
All I need is a button that prompts the technician for a single resolution to be applied to the request if the existing resolution is blank, it could even take the comments box as currently prompted and use that text if that is the quickest way of implementing the change in functionality.
Suggest it needs a tick box adding that states to use the text as a default resolution and that it is OFF by default, so functionality for anyone that doesn't want it stays the same as present.
