Hi All,

I am struggling with the PMP features to:

• Discover Scheduled tasks on server running as a user account
• Globally change a password from PMP in which updates AD, All Services used and All scheduled tasks used.

I have followed the Manage engine documentation to set this up and also followed advise from Manage engine. This is a critical functionally of the software for us and I am getting pressure for this to work.

I will try to explain what I have setup and the results (but have changed the actual names I used):

• I have created a Resource called "My Domain"
• it has the DNS Name populated with my domain controller "dc1.domain.com.au"
• It has the domain name field populated as "domain", note if I change this to "domain.com.au" then service discoveries stop working.
• I added the Active Directory administrator account to the resource (yes the actual administrator account).
• I have ticked the Supply credentials option and selected the administrator account on the "My Domain" resource.
• I have added a sample account that runs a service and a scheduled task on a windows 2003 domain member server called "adminsvc"
• I have created a resource for the server that runs the service and scheduled task called "server1" with resource type "Windows" and resource Group "Testing Windows Servers"
• I have then added the Resource group "testing windows servers" to the adminsvc User Accounts Resource Groups.

Results:

• If I open the Service Accounts for the adminsvc account and select Supported Service Accounts it shows the service - great! (but nothing shows in the "service Account Status tab - not sure if it is meant to)
• If I open the Scheduled Tasks for the adminsvc account and select Supported Scheduled Tasks, nothing is shown :(
• If a Attempt to Change the password of the adminsvc account, I get a note down the bottom of the change password popup that states: Note : Password changes made cannot be applied to this resource, as the DNS name / IP address is not provided.
• Continuing with the password change results in no changes other than PMP itself (AD does not change, The scheduled Task does not change, The Windows Service does not change).

Can anyone advise what may be wrong here and how to get this working?
