ServiceDesk Plus desperately needs a cascading pick list made available for use when creating both service and fault templates.

At present, we only have the Category=>Subcategory=>Item cascading pick lists available.

In our environment, we have many situations where having the ability to create templates (particularly service templates) with cascading pick lists would make it much easier for our users to provide information that we require in order to complete out work.

For example, in our organisation we have around 20 printers scattered over 12 buildings. We have service requests for these printers where a pick list includes the printer name, another the building, and a third the consumable that needs replacement. Also, not all printers have the same consumable requirements - some only need black toner; some black, cyan, magenta or yellow; others require waste toner bottles and so on). 

Without the cascading pick lists we have to list everything in each pick list instead of narrowing it down on each selection made by the user.
  • If the user selects the building in which they work, they should only see the printers in that building.
  • If the user selects a HP5200 B/W printer, they should not have to wade through a list showing all the consumables that are not applicable to it.
  • and so on...
