Dashboard Customization

Dear Users,

We are currently working on enhancing the dashboard section in ServiceDesk Plus.The rough screen shots is available at the end.Kindly provide us your suggestions .

Dashboard Customization:

With Dashboard Customization, users can customize the widgets that needs to be displayed in Dashboard Tab of ServiceDesk Plus. Users can add widget from external source iframe(widgets from external applications) or the chart of report(from Reports section). Reports having chart will be made as widget by default. Currently showing items in dashboard will also be made as widgets. Users can add these widgets to the dashboard section in dashboard customization page by dragging the widgets to the corresponding tab of dashboard section. The report chart will also be provided as a iframe source for embedding it in external applications.

Phase 1:

Adding external source widget cannot be done.Drag and drop customization of widgets will not be available. Report chart can be added to the dashboard section from Report Details Page. Ordering of the chart cannot be done. The report chart will be added to the end of the existing widgets in the dashboard in the order they are added.

Phase 2:

Dashboard Customization section will be available. All the existing reports with chart (both inbuilt and user created reports) will be added as widgets in Dashboard Customization section. Users can drag the widget from the Available Widgets section to the corresponding tab of DashBoard. Every Row in dashboard will be having 2 sections . And the widget can be dragged and dropped in any one of the section.

Phase 3:

Widgets from external applications (iframes only) can be added to available widget section. Users can drag this widget to the corresponding section of dashboard. Widgets in Servicedesk Plus can be exported as iframe for embedding it in external websites.

Phase 4 :

Dashboard can be shown to any user with login permission in ServiceDesk Plus.
