Did You Know - Advanced Policy Configuration Part VII

Did You Know - Advanced Policy Configuration Part VII

This week I will take you through the rest of the settings under the Reset & Unlock tab.

Reset & Unlock tab

You can find settings related to the self-password reset and account unlock features under this tab.

Auto-generate passwords based on custom password policy

Enabling this option will automatically generate a password for the end users during password reset. End users requesting self-password reset will only be required to go through the identity verification process. After identity verification, instead of end users choosing a password, ADSelfService Plus will generate a password for them based on the custom password policy that you have set in the application. The password is then sent to end users via email and SMS.

Partially hide mobile number and email

Enabling this option will partially hide the mobile number and email address of the user in the verification code page.

Prevent copy and paste actions in password field

Enabling this option will prevent users from copying and pasting passwords during reset password and change password operations.

Retry password reset without ID verification

By default, when users enter a password that doesn’t comply with the password policy requirements during password reset, they will be forced to restart the password reset process from the beginning and go through the identity verification process again.

Enabling this option will allow users to enter a different password without having to go through the whole process again.

If you have any questions, please leave it as a comment. We will be happy to help you.
