Do you know about Analytics Plus' new license category?

I'll start with the fundamental question- Why does Analytics Plus require a new license category?

Analytics Plus is licensed based on the number of named users (and not concurrent users) who need access to either read or create reports and dashboards.
The problem was that this applied to every user; even to access a report in read-only mode, one would require a separate login account. And forcing a user to logon to the application simply to view reports seemed a little far-fetched.

The fix - Dashboard viewer license for read-only users.

To simplify this, we decided to restructure our license model for read -only users by introducing a new license component- the dashboard viewer license.
This license is exclusively for those Analytics Plus users who only wish to view created dashboards and reports. While you still need to have a regular user account to create reports on Analytics Plus, you can opt for this license to provide access to users, who simply wish to view the reports.

How does this work?

The number of 'dashboard viewers' is calculated based on the total number of unique non-login users accessing the published reports or dashboards. This is not to be confused with concurrent user sessions. Dashboard viewer licenses are tied to the browser or device from which a user accesses published reports. If a user accesses reports from different browsers or devices, he will consume one license for each device or browser session.

Where can I see this?

If you are an existing user, and wish to enable this license category, raise a request here. If you are a new user, download the 30 day trial version of Analytics Plus from here.
