Ip change not updating

Ip change not updating

I have seen on a few occasion that a computer will show online in desktop central but yet scheduled task don't work.  Sometimes when this happens I noticed that when I ping the computer I am getting a different IP address than what is showing.  Now the quickest way I have found to fix this is a reboot.  How often is the agent supposed to update the IP?
