Mailbox permission changes report
We recently purchased the Auditing feature (upgrade to Exchange Reporter Professional) and now want to get reports about mailbox permission changes. Unfortunately we get the following error message: "
Error: Unknown User name or bad password provided in the Audit Configuration page. Please enter valid credentials for domain(s) : domain.com "
We have been told that the service account we are using has to be member of the Enterprise Admins group. I find that very hard to believe, there must be a way to not give this account that sort of permission.
We would be fine in adding the Service Account to Exchange Admins and give some permissions on the Event logs of the Domain Controllers if needed.
Anyone had similar issues? How did you get around this without giving the account running the report Enterprise Admin rights?
