ManageEngine DesktopCentral's Initiatives on security front from the recent learnings

Dear all,

We at ManageEngine DesktopCentral, put our best efforts to ensure the product is secure and protected from real-world threats that in-turn gives excellent customer satisfaction.  With the recent happenings in the security front, we fell short in this commitment.  My sincere apologies on behalf of the team for the frustration this has caused.   The technical challenges that we faced this time and the approach has caused this situation. 

From the learning, we have taken our exertion to fix the reported issues and working towards committed tasks.
  In an effort to improve the customer satisfaction from security perspective, we have decided to embrace the below listed initiatives
  1. Created a separate 'Security' sub-forum to facilitate the posts related to vulnerability.
  2. Policy to have release Security updates on priority.
  3. Security announcement
    • Publicly announce the vulnerability and fixes
    • Update the customers through announcements in product console
    • Cover security update in the monthly product Newsletters
This effort should keep the Desktop Central customers informed about the vulnerabilities and be assured that we strive to enrich the user experience with Desktop Central.
