most of our switches in our environment are Cisco stackable switches.  And because of their inherent redundancy, if a single switch in the stack fails, OpManager never alerts us when this happens.  The switch stack is still operational / pingable as far as OpManager is concerned.

Is it possible to monitor and send alerts when a switch in a stack goes down?
