Software license accounting

Hello.
I have following question: how correctly add different licenses to properly account for software installations and see if the number of installations exceeds the number of licenses ?

If I add VOLUME type license it is pretty simple track how much licenses is available and how much is in use. And get notification if quantity of installed software more than quantity of licenses. 

But if I add Concurrent type | Enterprise Subscription (Perpetual) | CAL | OEM etc it's hard to track this parameter ( excess use of licenses).

For clarity here is example :

Product 1  (50 licenses) - license that allows me to install 1 pieces of software per workstation.
Product 2  (9 licenses)  - Concurrent - standard concurrent license.

It is obvious that license for Product 1 should be added as Volume.
But Am I really should add 9 times license for Product 2 or there is way add one time but indicate quantity of licenses in one record (don t use field LICENSE KEY) ?
