Can someone possibly shed some light on the most straight forward and efficient approach to adding 1000 devices into v12 without doing it manually?

Would it be the following:

1. vCenter Auto Discover

2. Modify default Device Templates as necessary (how to associate)?

3. Create Notification profiles - which triggers will alarm what emails.

4. Create Rules Engine to create notification profile association??

5. Run Auto Discover (to associate alarms, alarms <template> and notification profiles)???

Is this clear?
